Tom @ Alamo military found this real nice group, when in St Louis visit the Alamo, the première collectable military shop in the St Louis Area.

One of the best and most interesting groups I have ever found, great pictures, he was in at the prison hospital were they took the wounded vc for treatment, some new and interesting artifacts not seen before, vc tags, vc diary, plastic arm band from vc ( only one I have ever seen ) Check out the boonie hat, that is salty, I will put up pictures of the hats in the Vietnam head gear section 

NAMED 173 AIRBORNE VETERANS BERET AND SCARF

Original Vietnam made 173 Airborne named scarf with theater made beret with Vietnamese made ranger airborne flash with jump wings, has name and home name on the back of the beret, all original with dog tag

2 NAMED FIGHT SUITS WITH BOOK DOCUMENTATION OF MEN SERVICE IN THE SECRET WAR OVER CAMBODIA, THE RUSTICS

How many Cambodian flags have you seen on flight suits? Mr. Murphy's call sign was RUSTIC Charlie, the bid dogs flew over Cambodia from 1970 to 1973; the crew included one US captain pilot, 1 Cambodian officer, and one interrupter who would relay info to the pilot on when and where to send in the fast movers to bomb the Khmer. Very rare interesting flight suits from a very secret us engagement, this is a patch I rarely see from the secret unit (from Alamo militaria) St Louis
Mr Murphy is named in the book CALL SIGN RUSTIC

Jacket is very salty, the US air force tabs and the murphy tabs are theater made same as the ones on the flight suites

NICE ORIGINAL GROUP FROM A US NAVY VET

Jacket says it all, He said he was with the group that was responsible for port safety for all incoming supplies, later he was assigned to the HQ Shore Patrol for the US Admirals, brassard, lighters, and Vietnam money all from the same vet, he got out of the store before Tom got his name, there is writing on the money, says from pat with love
this was found at the Alamo military in st Louis Missouri

This came from some items from a US navy Vets items, his name was DJ Aubuchon, I have his tour jacket listed under uniforms section

ORIGINAL TRU BALANCE KNIFE, THIS IS A VIETNAM PERIOD KNIFE WITH CORRECT SHEATH

# 3  Outstanding large print, Bell UH-1C, of the 174th assault Helicopter Company, Gun Platoon, 14th Avn Bn.1st Avn Bde. Vietnam 1971. this is print 37 of 1000. 1986, signed by the artist, only one I have ever seen it has been hanging in my office for over 20 years

# 5  MIDNIGHT COWBOY Original poster mounted on hard board, Sandy One, # 310 of 1000, hand signed by the artist and Capt Richard Drury the pilot of Midnight cowboy this is a rare print. I have not seen another . this has been hanging in my office for years

AIR BORNE LICENSE PLATE , HEAVY CAST WINGS

Taken off of a 67 Pontiac Bonneville in or about 1980 in East St Louis ill junk yard. Car was a total heap, had 173rd airborne stickers on the rear window. I have never ran across a large case jump wing like this ever, the plate has a horse stamped on it and painted blue. There is a small crack were the wing meets the parachute

THESE ARE THE MEDALS THAT WERE WITH THE ESTATE OF MR. MURPHY

The beer cans are all original, along with the very rare Sons of Confederate Veterans Vietnam service medal and SCV war service medal, Sons of Confederate veterans order of stars and bars medal, two air medals, reserve air force medal, Air force Commendation medal, captains bars, Dog tags, name tag, misc there was a flying cross medal with the group but no documents for this medal

CLINTON A MURPHY

Very nicely done arrangement of his campaign ribbons and observer wings and pictures of the vet

CAPTAIN MURPHY'S AWARDS, DOCUMENTS AND MEDALS

The one recognition award is from the 4133rd bombardment wing, in support of there operations in South East Asia, the 4133 was Arc Light , B-52.s, as a Forward Air Controller he would have called in Arc Light Missions over South East Asia

CAPTAIN MURPHY'S DIPLOMAS

He also has a US Army graduation from Fort Benning for completing airborne infantry school, I know that for some reason some Air Force pilots did go to army infantry school, not sure how many or why

CLINTON MURPHY'S RARE SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS MEDALS

Captain Murphy was a direct descendent of a confederate officer who fought in the civil war, his father, MG Clinton Murphy also has the ww2 Sons of Confederate Veterans medals, these are very rare medals, I have down loaded some information on his camp in Missouri to stay with the group

Only black one I have ever found, correct period leather died black with correct blue corduroy liner for the type 54 Chicom pistol  

FROM THE ESTATE OF IAN SUTHERLAND

This is an unusual piece of art, the print is the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam war by Tom Nielson, with a quote from general William Westmorland, signed by him, i was asked to look at the estate in 2003 when Lt Col Sutherland died in a sky diving accident, this was hanging in the Sutherland home, origin of this is unknown , just a neat item

SET OF MIXED USED BEAT TIGER STRIPE

Found at the Alamo in St Louis, top is tadpole sparse and the bottoms are late war light weight type
There was a tunnel lamp in the box with these tigers, check it out in the VC NVA section.

NEAT DISPLAY OF ANTIQUE VIETNAMESE MONEY

The back ground is silk cloth, these were sold on the street corners of Saigon and other cities during the war
