USMC GROUP, VET WAS IN NAM 1966, ROBERT C. HAGGERTY ( SKIP) AS HE WAS NICKNAMED
The group consist of his Vietnamese made MP brassard , a combat log book , has sweetheart named in it, other marine books and a very cool letter sent to him in Vietnam with hundreds of names signed to offer best wishes and support . The first two signatures on the letter are his mother and father. The real kicker of the group is a real VC made grenade carrier brought back by the vet, very rare item
Obtained from the vet who purchased them in Vietnam Joe Silveria was assigned to battery 26th target acquisition battery (tab) they had one home base and four outpost c2-a4-c4- they targeted the VC near the DMZ , he bought these at the river crossing just north of the main road going to c2, they were Vietnamese villagers selling anything from soda, popsicles of small refrigerators
These are documented with a letter from the vet. These exact pieces were worn all over NAM us troops
